Hey,
I'm Aaron Bentley, a software developer based on the Isle of Wight, UK.
I write code. Mostly TypeScript, sometimes JavaScript, and occasionally magic.
Currently Senior Developer at NOSY Creative Agency where I build websites, tools and digital products for clients doing good things (and a few who just want things to work fast and look slick). Before NOSY, I spent over a decade as an in-house developer solving web problems at scale.
I’ve built interfaces for national brands, custom CMS tools, e-commerce integrations, and random side projects like SoopaNova (because gaming screenshots deserve better).
How I work
- Close with designers. I like being involved early, from the first Figma frames through to the build, so technical constraints come up before they become surprises. Designs become reusable components that hold up whatever content gets put in them.
- Getting to the real need. Before writing any code, I talk to the people who'll use the thing, clients and colleagues alike, to pin down what's actually needed rather than what was first asked for.
- Owning it after launch. Shipping is the start. I look after what I build long after go-live: monitoring, fixes, updates and keeping dependencies current. NOSY's own website has been mine to look after since 2020.
There's more on how that plays out in my case studies.
Come for the code, stay for the commits! Check out my projects on GitHub.
